Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Kotelnotes ("we", "us", "our"), a service that hand-delivers personal prayers to the Western Wall (the Kotel) in Jerusalem and returns photo or video proof of placement. By using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
When you submit a prayer through Kotelnotes, a member of our team in Jerusalem transcribes or prints your note, carries it to the Western Wall, places it between the stones, and records a photo or video of the placement. Proof is delivered to the email and phone number you provide, typically within 24 to 48 hours depending on the tier you choose.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use Kotelnotes. By submitting a prayer you confirm that the words you submit are your own, or that you have permission to send them on behalf of someone else.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are listed in US dollars on the pricing page and at checkout. All payments are one-time charges per prayer. There are no subscriptions. Your card is charged at the moment you confirm your order.
4. Refunds and re-delivery
If your prayer is not placed, or if the proof we deliver is unclear or damaged, we will re-place your note and re-deliver proof at no additional cost. Because each prayer involves a physical act performed in your name, refunds after successful placement are issued on a case-by-case basis.
5. Acceptable content
Kotelnotes exists to carry personal, sincere prayers. We will not place notes that contain threats, harassment, incitement, commercial advertising, or content directed at harming a specific person. If a submission falls into one of these categories we will contact you, refund your payment, and decline to place the note.
6. Service availability
The Western Wall is occasionally inaccessible due to weather, holidays, or decisions made by Israeli authorities. In those rare cases we may delay your placement by up to a few days and will keep you informed by email.
7. Limitation of liability
Kotelnotes facilitates a personal, spiritual act. We make no promises about the outcome of any prayer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question.
8. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
