Privacy is sacred to us. This policy explains what information Kotelnotes collects, how we use it, and the limits we hold ourselves to. Prayers are never read aloud, published, sold, or shared with anyone outside the small team that physically carries and places them.
What we collect
- Your prayer. The words you type into the prayer form.
- Your contact details. Name, email address, and phone number, so we can deliver proof of placement.
- Payment information. Handled directly by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Minimal technical data. Basic logs (IP address, browser type) needed to keep the service secure and functional.
How we use it
- To transcribe or print, carry, and place your note at the Western Wall.
- To send you photo or video proof of placement by email and SMS.
- To process your one-time payment.
- To respond to you if you contact us with a question, refund request, or feedback.
What we never do
- We never read your prayer aloud, publish it, or quote it anywhere.
- We never sell your data, ever. There is no advertising business model here.
- We never share your contact details with third parties for marketing.
- We never use your prayer content to train any AI model.
How long we keep it
Your prayer text is permanently deleted from our systems within 7 days of the placement being completed and proof being delivered. Your contact details and order record are retained for 24 months to support customer service, refunds, and basic financial record-keeping, and then deleted unless we are legally required to keep them longer.
Security
Prayers are stored encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the small team responsible for placement and delivery. Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant processors and never touches our servers in raw form.
Subprocessors we rely on
To run the service we use a small number of vetted providers, cloud hosting, a payment processor, an email and SMS delivery provider, and a transactional analytics tool. Each one is bound by a data processing agreement that limits how they may use the data we share.
Your rights
You may at any time request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email Message us and we will respond within 14 days.
Children
Kotelnotes is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and, when possible, notify recent customers by email.
